I don’t feel like my art is good

Posted by DustL - January 29th, 2023

I don’t like the state of my art, I feel like it is not good enough obviously I try and make it look good but I don’t like it, if you can se a problem in my art please tell me I need criticism, maybe it is the line art being to small and thin, and I should try different brushes out but besides that, what should I do? Do any of you like my art? What do you not like about it? Don’t be afraid of asking me, it is all I want, anyway besides that take care, I finish off the art trades soon, and get this one commission out of the way so I can focus on my art and improve on it.

yo relax, if you're a teenage relax you still young, you will learn a lot and will get better and better, just give time it's time. When i was 15 years old my drawings looked like that: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/themiamispellcaster/the-first-ever-animation-frame-i-did-2015
now years ago, years of practice my art is way better. You can try watching tutorials, taking lessons on the internet on the specific matters you think you gotta improve, like anatomy, shadowing, perspective, proportion, etc, etc

Thanks that means a lot :) I looked at my old art I definitely improved, so yeah I’m getting better but I still have a long way to go :)

@Pepskip yo that's the spirit, just relax and keep practicing, have patience and give time it's time and surely you will improve more and more

hey man if you ever feel your art is shit remember this: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/flestor/first-digital-art this is my very first digital art and some of early art work is just shit but that's part of learning, your shit at it at first then as time goes on and you practice a lot you can get better at it. also remember that art is hard like it can be really hard there is so much shit to learn color theory, anatomy, poses, and don't get me started on hands, there's a lot to learn with art and if you constantly try and learn some of the stuff you'll eventually get better at it.

like over the coarse of 1 year i have significantly improved my art and if i can you can too

just look up art-tutorials on youtube you'll find a lot of stuff that will help you
